Too Cute!

My sister in law, Danielle, took this picture of Payton and Brian at our family trip to Austin. I couldn't help but share it...I guess she is forgiven for not responding to the Tunes Tag I tagged her with a few months ago.

A River Runs Through It...

We spent the last week in Austin with the Family. It was so nice. The weather was perfect and the home we stayed in was incredible. Cody loved the canoe and the kayak. He wants one soooo bad. We might have to look into that for him.

We made a run to San Antonio to visit SeaWorld. Payton loved Shamtoo, Shampoo, what's his name?....SHAMU! Feeding the dolphins was also fun!

This picture is the only one Payton would even look at...she had a rough time during family pictures.

We also spent Easter Sunday there and had a good time with the egg hunt...Payton is a little bit timid but she had fun cracking open each egg before she would put it in her basket.

Thanks PaPa and Grandma! We had a great time!

Happy St. Pat's Day

Me and my sisters Dancing the Jig! I never did like wearing dresses! ;)

One Week Later...

So here we are one week later with 80 degree weather again! It was so nice we had to go to the park and play. Payton LOVES the swing.

All by herself.

Payton made a snow'girl' all by herself. She didn't want any help. She reminds me every day that she is a big girl and can do it herself. I thought this was cute.

"We have a problem here."

"We have a problem here." Those were Payton's words as she looked at all the snow coming down today on our way home from school. Not 4 days ago was it in the 80's. I think yesterday was in the 60's...what is this? Oh yeah, I live in Texas. If you don't like the weather, just wait a minute, it'll change. We had a great time playing in the wet stuff! Too bad we aren't very well equipt with snow gear. We went through a few pairs of pants, boots, gloves and hats by the time we finished. Here are some pictures. It really was pretty to watch...once I was out of trying to drive in it.
My poor tree...

Payton trying to wade through the stuff...I think it was about 7 1/2 inches by the end of the day...

She was so excited to do snow angels...I didn't know she even knew what those are!

Cody, in the orange, having a great time with friends...

What a day.

I think Cody is just happy that school is canceled for tomorrow.

Crazy Comments Keep on Coming...

Okay, I know this has turned into a bunch of posts about Payton but I think she is at an age where some of her comments are just too funny not to share. I was helping Cody with a project for one of his classes, cutting out some pictures for him while he pasted them on poster board. Payton came over and said, "What are you doing? Making Craps?!". I guess at school they "make crafts", but for some reason her brain thinks the word is craps. Cody and I laughed so hard and all we could do was ask her if she wanted to make "Craps" with us! She smiled and jumped up at the table and made a bunch of her own "crap". It was great family fun! (by the way, Cody scored 100% on his "crap")

Sign of the Times...

Payt was playing with my scrapbook supplies and found a small jewel sticker. She instantly picked it up and said, "OH! That goes here!", and stuck it to the side of her nose. I don't know why that would be her first pick! I just had to laugh and take a picture. Now if she does that when she is 15 I might not laugh as hard...
She wore that sticker the rest of the day...it even stayed on during her nap.
